I played Division 1 Field Hockey at Iowa my freshman year, then transferred to William and Mary. There I received a BA in Sociology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. I’ve attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coach Training Program and taken Cornell’s online course “Nutrition and Health Living.” I’m currently studying for the CISSN to become a Certified Sports Nutritionist.

I decided to get into health coaching after I had such a revolutionary experience of my own. It wasn’t until I saw my own therapist right out of college that I was taught the connection between mind, body, and how much our thoughts effect our gut health. For the first time ever I was able to slow down (and take a breath after playing sports for so long) which allowed me to see just how little support athletes have in the realm of nutrition. Nutrition is so much more than just what we eat; so much stems from the connection we have to our food, our household dynamic around food, our general belief systems and how we connect to those around us.

Oh and I love my cat Phish, literally any outdoor activity and getting an overpriced coffee. Pretty basic but that sums it up.
